We’re helping companies and organizations focus on usability and inclusion while creating socially and environmentally responsible products and services that are good for people, the planet and brands.
We’re a collective of experts in product design, UX, design research, biomechanics, ergonomics, psychology, trend forecasting, usability, graphic design, engineering and brand strategy. Each member of our network understands that design has the ability to change lives.
Our approach to design is not just good for the people and the planet – we’re helping companies innovate as well as increase brand equity. If you, your company or your organization are looking to get better at understanding the people you are serving, would like to design better products and services for them, and would like to enhance your brand’s perception, contact us.
About us:
ThinkActHuman evolved from my personal consulting practice (Dan Formosa, Ph.D.). As the scope of projects has been expanding in recent years I have been enlisting team members with a wide range of backgrounds. The name ThinkActHuman reflects our expertise in designing for people’s physical and cognitive abilities, and their general well being.
1. We’re a collective.
That means we’re a network of professionals, each knowledgeable and passionate about people and design.
2. We assemble teams from the best people in our network.
That can be different from an agency, where teams are often assembled based on the most available people, not necessarily the most appropriate. We’ll identify the team members prior to finalizing an agreement.
3. Members in our network can also work with you solo on projects.
For instance, I assist and advise brand strategy, product and service development teams in a range of capacities.
4. We take an evidence-based approach, often including quantitative methods in our research on usability, design and behavior.
It allows us be more innovative, and get everyone who is involved to be more comfortable pushing boundaries.
5. Our clients range from major international companies to startups.
We love working with either.
6. We can start by conducting workshops.
Since you often need to get others on your team aligned, workshops can be a good way to start. Workshop topics include biomechanics, statistical methods in design research, design and gender, perceptions, emotions and behavior.
